Landlord and Tenant Laws govern the rules set for landlords of a property and those for a tenant of a property. As a general rule the landlord's responsibilities include providing a safe housing, make normal home repairs and give tenant notice of any changes of ownership. The tenant is also obligated for some responsibilities such as paying rent on time, taking reasonable care of the property without having to invest in home repairs and also informing the landlord of any changes in tenancy.
